Disaster Response – Tropical Storm Imelda – At the request of the Humane Society of the United States and the Beaumont Animal Shelter, AIR team was asked to assist the shelter with evacuating 124 animals that had been at the shelter previous to the storm. Moving these animals made room for animals that were displaced and allowed the shelter to be a resource to the community.  AIR Responders loaded up the animals and transported them to the receiving agency, the Humane Society of Tulsa. There the animals were examined by the medical team and then moved on to other parts of the country via airplane where they were placed for adoption to find their forever homes.  Length: 2 days. Placement: 100% positive outcome
