Community assistance – AIR was alerted by a hospice nurse that one of her patience had passed away. The woman owned 20 small terrier mix breed dogs that were all chained in the backyard. Due to the impending severe weather and the animals’ situation, AIR gained approval from the next of kin to remove the dogs from their tethers and transfer them to the safety of AIR’s placement partners.
