puppy mill – AIR was called in to assist the Grimes County Sheriff’s Dept and the Houston Humane Society with the seizure of 300 animals (200 Chinese Crested and 100 miniature ponies) from a large scale breeder, also known as a puppy and horse mill.  We removed the animals from their rusty, feces and urine soaked cages. Many of the cages had not been opened for years due to the rust. We took the animals to HHS facility and spent the next several weeks caring for them. We also reached out to our partners at S/N network to assist with spay and neuters so the dogs could become avail for adoption sooner.  Our team continued care until the animals were placed with HHS placement partners.  Length: 6 weeks.
